***UPDATE*** So Paige just posted her blog entry on our Cabo trip and I must say...though I am proud of mine, her's really trumps it. BIG TIME. Please view mine below then catch her post:
PAIGE'S AMAZING CABO POST
Oh my oh my...what a wonderful week in the sun with my HS
bestie Paige! The sand (ouch...rather rough to walk on but gorgeous to look at) the surf...WOW, the waves were the most powerful I have EVER experienced; at night the wedding party told us the doors of their balcony
shook when the bog waves crashed. The laughs, the talks, the gossip, the love, the drinks, the food....Oh the stories...and the memories to last a lifetime! The trip was for Paige's college friend Lindsay and Brian, she was a bridesmaid.
*Matt (Paige's hubby), thanks for sharing your wife with me for this girls trip AND over your 4 year anniversary! You are a doll! (
Hh, and thanks also for not being able to be
paige's date! That kinda made the whole trip possible for me...
hee hee!)
Before starting this LOOONG post I want to say THANK YOU to Bryan for being a great daddy to Ava, I'm sure you two had some great Daddy-Girl bonding time. Though leaving was not easy, it really was the trip of a lifetime that I will not forget.

Landing in
Cabo...
LOOONG morning, I was up at 4:30AM and we took this pic ourselves so not the best but who cares? We're in
Cabo baby!

We were standing in line at Customs in
Cabo and I hear a squeal and look over where people were walking in from their planes. I said "Paige, isn't that Lindsay?" Sure enough, we landed the same time as the bride & groom. Her cute tank was bedazzled with "Bride" and she was set to get in the groove! The entire week they seemed so calm! As a wedding planner, that's so refreshing to see, just
rollin' with it and happy to be there

Before we got into our car Paige set-up for us, we stopped outside the terminal to grab what else???? A Corona! Why don't all airports have
tiki bars outside to terminal selling you drinks before you load into your cab?
Hmmm.... *Funny
sidenote: I text messaged Paige the day before we left asking if we had a shuttle to our hotel.
Ooops, we hadn't checked on that yet so called and of course, no dice. So Paige found the first company on the Internet and booked it. It was $90/one way but hey, we're going to
Cabo who cares?! It ended up being a really nice guy in a great brand new SUV and he drives all the stars (yes, we're OBSESSED with celebrity gossip) so he gave us the low down on J
Aniston, J Simpson, Courtney Cox and more!
Sooo fun! *More later on the cost of the CAB on the way home...

This is the view from our hotel room.

Again, view from hotel room but MORE importantly the hotel right out our window was the FAMOUS "
Las Ventanas" if you ever read gossip mags or people.com etc... that's where a lot of the celebs stay. We tried to go there the first night but it was something like $150-200 per person to eat and you had to GUARANTEE on a cc you would be there. We figured wasn't worth it and ended up being right. Lindsay went the next day and said it wasn't all that great.

We literally checked in and threw on our swimsuits and booked it right to the ocean-side restaurant. We were STARVING. The food was...
ok. Not great, not terrible but
ok. We found other places at the resort to eat the next day and so it was all good. The breakfast buffet was the best, the pool bar with fried snacks was way better for lunch than the above place we tried day 1 and we never ate dinner at our resort but tried once and they were full...

View from our beach...so nice just an AMAZING intense surf, as you can tell, no one is swimming.

We laughed our booties off trying to take a simple foot pic with the foam from the ocean gently cascading over them...YEAH RIGHT, we stood there, drinks in hand and took about 50 pics! We were either too far away or the darn wave would almost knock us over!

Bloody Mary. I love them. They are the most random combination of ingredients but somehow taste great all the time, no matter where you go. I will say our hotel did NOT pour the liquor heavy AT ALL which we really appreciated so don't be fooled by the drinks in hand. We never even got tipsy at our pool, just had fun trying the different concoctions they came up with. Seriously. Now...the Dreams resort where everyone else was staying...
WAAAY different bartender! We went there the second day and had one drink and were both like..."Wow, strong pour" then by drink two were were
thinkin' we are LIGHT WEIGHTS for sure! Neither of us are big drinkers so it was funny when we realized that we had changed a bit since our last girls only trip together in The Big Easy in college!

Yes, that's a HUGE Lobster Tail in front of me a
Filet. LOVED every bite. This was at a cool hotel down the road, our first night in
Cabo. We met Lindsay and Brian and had a ball!

Lindsay (bride to be),
Paigers and me

Mine and Paige's part of the bill! Looks nuts huh? Look at that total? It was only about $120 bucks but we thought it looked insane for dinner for two! :o)
Nothin' like a little zip line at 11AM Day Two!

Enjoying our pool, it was huge!

These "beds" were amazing and totally away from the main pool activity so we loved them. Our resort was fun but mid-afternoon things got a tad goofy! The staff was super sweet but they would start running around trying to get us up for yoga, water polo, rock climbing...not realizing we were two ladies that had NO intention of moving unless it was to change positions, use the restroom, get food or drink. We were seriously more horizontal than vertical the entire trip!

I found this cool raft and thought,
ahhh I'll relax. It was actually quiet at the pool so P and I hunkered down with our magazines and lounge chairs ready to rest (what we did ALL DAY EVERY DAY, have I mentioned that?) well, I got out of the raft above, nestled in to my chair and not kidding, 3 minutes later BLARING out of the speaker that happened to be DIRECTLY above us was...none other than "Who let the dogs out?!?!?" Yes, who did? Because we were
really wishing they would put the dogs back up! They were making paella that day, yes strange. Some days it was musical chairs, others they ran out in full cow and devil costumes (yes odd combo) to get us pumped up to play BINGO! It was hilarious and there were a ton of people that jumped in on all of it.

Night Two at Dreams, we were at the pool as I mentioned then RAN back to our hotel, changed and got back in about 30 minutes. This was such a fun night. I LOVE Sushi and Japanese food though Paige and Lindsay are not really fans...we all had a blast!

When you walked up to the table, it looked as though you were sitting on the floor but the bottom was cut out so you sat on pillows. It was so comfy and fun we both want this in out house!

Sake Bomb time! Things are going downhill fast! I've never done one of these, can you believe it? You set the sake in top of beer balanced on chop sticks then hit the table and it falls in and you're SUPPOSED to drink it all really fast. Yeah, I ddn't do that part great, but it was so funny as one by one the sake fell into the glass

This is as they're falling in and every time we were cracking up!

And done!

Our excellent servers!

How fun is this? A beach, pool bar where you "belly up" on a SWING! Love it!

My FAVORITE pic of Paige, she looks amazing huh?

Rehearsal dinner night at Dreams Resort

The happy couple the night before "I DO!" *I know this is sooo fuzzy, but seriously, how much does Lindsay look like Jessica Simpson?! Wow!

The day of the wedding Paige headed over to Dreams to get ready with the girl's about Noon. I didn't have to be at the hotel until 5PM. I parked it right here for about 3.5 hours and it was HEAVEN!

Our view for 4 days straight.

Look at this breathtaking bride!

Her dress was INSANE. INSANE. I see A LOT of dresses. This was so different than I've seen in a long time. The tulle was excellent!

And then they were One.

Paige and I trying our celebrity runway pose

This was midway through our packing process. No the room wasn't like this the entire time...but packing up was NOT something either of us were looking forward to!

Bye Bye Cabo! Paige, thank you so much for asking me to go with you on such an exciting, fun, RELAXING trip! I don't think there's too many people that would have had as much fun as we did doing basically NOTHING all day every day. Nothing. At. All. Nothing. I don't know when we'll ever have that opportunity again with kids, jobs...life. So I feel so lucky to have a friend like you to share times like this with. You always have been such an amazing person to have in my life. Your friendship has always been unwavering. We have sooo many memories, laughs, tears, jos and heartaches but have kept our bond through it all. I love you and hope for many more opportunities to "lay around & relax" with my Paigers! Thx Jag & Matty, your mama rocks! Congratulations Brian and Lindsay, you put on such a wonderful wedding I feel lucky to have been able to enjoy with you and your familes! Ok...next up...back to posts about Little Miss A!
